Hina Khan SPEAKS OUT: Shilpa Shinde Won't Meet Me? I'm Ready To Even Work With Her!

The time is right to talk FIRST to Hina Khan. She takes our call and fields all questions very calmly.

Excerpts from the telephonic chat:

You were famous and after Bigg Boss 11, you have become more famous....
(Laughs) Thank you. 

But oh, I am so tired. Actually, I am zoned out. Three-and-half months locked inside. It's not easy, man. Abhi bhi main check kar rahi hoon if the mic on me is in proper position but there is no mic (laughs), bhool jaati hoon that I am back to where I belonged.

Aisa feel ho raha hai ki kuch bhi nahin karun, sirf relax karun, aur achcha khaana khaun.



Was the food not good in Big Boss 11?
I meant, now I have the luxury of eating what I want.

You looked very pretty in the finale, and you should have won...
Thank you, again. Actually, I got many compliments for that outfit. Well, Shilpa kept telling me that I will win- and I kept telling her that she will win. That was the conversation we kept having almost throughout the finale.



Did you think your statue will burst when Akshay pressed the button?
I can't remember what I was going through at that instant, but I felt very sad for Vikas (Gupta).

Did you think you will reach the finale and end up as a Runner-Up?
Yeah, I went quite ahead in the game- but ek confidence zaroor tha that I'll manage it well.

Your equation with Shilpa? She says that she doesn't want to meet you ever, you were the meanest...
Is it? Well, that's her point of view. We all have freedom of speech and expression, don't we? Nothing at my end against her. Frankly, I would be ready to even work with her.



Is it?
Yeah. That's her, and this is me. 

Not rattled at all?
Rattled? Not at all. For me, Bigg Boss 11 is over. I often said in the house that the day I walk out, I will not retain the show in my system. You see, everyone needs to understand the format of the show. Too much of diplomacy, too much bitching, too many harsh statements,too many fights.... but isn't that's what the show is all about? It was a game show, everyone was playing a game- and it shouldn't be taken seriously.

Did it not happen that you were backstabbed by someone whom you initially didn't think...
(Interrupts) Hota hai, aur hota rahega. Tumhare saath kabhi nahin hua kya? You may have been fond of someone and that person backstabbed you? Some people don't betray the trust, but someone people do. Lovers aur best friends mein bhi kabhi misunderstanding hoti hai--- aur kabhi kabhi phir kisike saath phir se theek bhi ho jaata hai sab kuch unke beech. Like okay, say for Priyank and Luv, they will always be my good friends, irrespective of the misunderstandings if any I may have had with them inside the Bigg Boss 11 house.

Do you think that the rant by certain TV stars- Kishwer Merchant, Karan Patel, Gauahar Khan, etc--- on social media cost you the victory?
I got to know about a few things what was being said behind my back, but I really don't want to react to their point of view. As I said, you are free to use your rights of freedom in this land. India is a free country, isn't it?

Besides, what do you want me to concentrate on, in life? Good things or bad things? I have friends in the TV industry who wish well for me and I would rather focus on them, rather than look back and think negatively.

It all began when your comment on 'Bulging Heroines in the South industry' gathered storm...
I was talking about my experience and I still I respect the South industry. It was not a generalised statement, but it 'was' generalised.



So you were asked to...
Yes.

And did you go ahead to put on weight?
No, I did not. Firstly I didn't want to comply, and secondly I didn't want to quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai then.



You say that you aren't upset with your inmates say Shilpa, but you refused to shoot for Entertainment Ki Raat yesterday?
Aap chahte kya ho? I will get back to work when I feel like na? I just can't shoot for the heck of it. My mom got so emotional seeing me after such a long time, and for Pete's sake, I wanted to spend time with her, soon after I was out--- aur isliye mainne Entertainment Ki Raat ke liye shoot nahin kiya. 

The call girl/chawl girl controversy about your comment on Shilpa?
That word 'call girl' is a very heavy word. I respect everyone's work and I would never pass any derogatory remark like that. 



Your squint-eyed controversy about Sakshi Tanwar?
Neither did I say it, nor did I mean it. Sakshi is one the finest actors we have. If one sees the video carefully, in fact I was the one who said: Don't say that.

So, do you think there was a concerted campaign against you and a concerted campaign in favour of Shilpa?
Whatever content works for the makers, it's fine by me. I chose to do Bigg Boss 11, so it is on me whatever happened and not on anybody else.

It was felt by some, Kamya Punjabi for one, that Shilpa gained lot of votes playing a caring person by cooking etc--- and Bigg Boss is about tasking and not cooking for others...
Maybe Shilpa played herself. I think even Vikas and I played to the best of our abilities, kisike liye kaam nahin karta aur kisike liye kar jaata hai.

Salman Khan?
He is fab. I love him.



Buzz is, this was his last Bigg Boss. Next year, Akshay Kumar will replace him...

I have no clue about that.

Hiten Tejwani is upset with you, it seems, because you spoke about his marriage?
I never spoke about his marriage. It so happened that one day, he was telling his love story with Gauri Pradhan to us.  Now, we all know Gauri is so beautiful and we even said that there. I just added on jokingly: Usko tu kaise mil gaya? Isn't that something we all say in jest? Aur us baat ka bhi issue ban gaya, uff!

You told Shilpa that she is using unhygienic water while cooking...
She was not using unhygienic water but tap water. Now, Lonavla gets muddy water in taps, and sabhi ka stomach upset ho raha tha. Initially I thought that something was wrong with my system, but later realised that the tap water was doing the trick. So, I told her yeah. Did I do anything wrong?

We had a water purifier and shouldn't she have used that from the word 'Go'? Shilpa's stomach did not get upset, maybe it is very strong.

Your love story with Rocky bloomed on Bigg Boss 11...
You can say that again! After coming out, I have realised how much he was supporting me from outside; he spoke so well about me in the media.



I think you have realised his worth more after Bigg Boss 11...
Yes (laughs), you are right.

So, marriage on the cards soon?
Arre, nahin baba. Not in '18, neither in '19, nor in '20. Let's enjoy life.
